Killers until the end

Between many atrocities committed by the Germans, not known by the big public there is the existence of a field of Russian prisoners inside the surrounded perimeter of the Germans in Stalingrad.

The Germans allowed them to die of cold and famine.

I remember in a magazine read in a plane like a German  woman that she was prisoner in Siberia was mentioning that the Russians were feeding them, with scarce rations, but they were feeding them, although the children of the Russian guards who they were guarding were dying of famine.
The German  prisoners of Stalingrad were fed by the Russians, late and with scarce rations, but they were fed.
When Berlin was conquered the trucks with meal for the civil population were already prepared to begin distributing meal immediately, unlike the Germans who in the conquered cities of East Europe continued an extermination politics with insufficient rations to produce the famine and the death, for it, and for the slaves' hunting that they realized, the population in all the occuped cities diminished greatly.
There is a big moral difference between the Russians and the Germans.

"When the retreat started on 20 November", reported one Russian prisoner of war, "we were put instead of horses to drag the carts loaded with ammunition and food. Those prisoners who could not to drag the carts as quickly as the Feldwebel wanted were shot on the spot. In this way we were forced to pull the carts for four days, almost without any rest. At the Vertyachy prison camp, an encirclement of barbed wire without any shelter, the Germans selected the least unhealthy prisoners and took them with them", The remainder, the sickest prisoners, were left behind to starve and freeze in the snow."Only two of ninet-eight were still alive", when they were discovered for an advance unit of the Red Army. *
